This class is specifically catered to, well, 5-minute stories. Ok, fine, they can be 6 minutes. Basically, we’re writing short stories
Why?
Short stories are better. Period. Better for your writing, better for performing, and better for our attention spans.
Shorter stories work better on stage than longer ones. You’d be amazed at how much cleaner a story sounds once you strip away some information and let the important details and jokes shine.
If you’re looking to perform more, want funnier + tighter stories, or want to film your sets and make them sharable, trust me, the shorter (and tighter) the better.
Even if you have no intention on performing your writing, learning how to skillfully write short stories will only strengthen your pieces and make you a better storyteller.
In this 7-week writing bootcamp, we will build your repertoire week by week with live feedback.
