Are refunds available?

Kind of but not really. Refunds are available two weeks before the start of class on a case by case basis. In order to maintain an intimate space filled with trust and group mind, once class begins, a new writer cannot be added.

What’s expected of me?

For most weeks, each writer is expected to bring in a first draft of a new story. Specifics of the assignment will be given after class and you’ll write on your own throughout the week. Class time is reserved for reading written work, feedback and questions.

I’ve never written anything before...

...and the thought of sharing something personal makes me want to lock myself in my room and never come out.

Join the club. Writing can feel hard and sharing your writing can be scary. But usually after you pull the band-aid off, it gets easier and even, dare I say, fun? I give you permission to say “fuck it I’m just gonna do it.” Also, class is an extremely supportive environment and your peers will not only be in your exact same position, they’ll be cheering you on.

What if I’m not funny?

First of all you, you are. Second of all, you don’t have to be. In class we try to bring out the bits of comedy in every situation, but it’s more important to craft the story you want to write. Do not worry about being funny.
